Quick Skincare/Makeup Routine
Here is a quick skincare/makeup routine for everyone who likes to keep things short and straightforward. I’ve never had a super long skincare routine for my daily skincare. I am currently trying to find a face wash that I enjoy.
The products I used to achieve this look are the following and in this order:
- Cerave foaming cleanser: I have used this product for a few weeks. I ran out of my own face wash and my sister left hers at my house. So, like any big sister, I used it, and so far, I like it!
- Mario Badescu rose water: I have been using it since this refreshing spray hit the scene. It’s super refreshing and helps return some moisture to my face.
- NARS tinted moisturizer: I have been using a tinted moisturizer instead of a foundation lately. I love the natural look and a quick and easy routine. You do not have to be super good at makeup to use a tinted moisturizer. I also love how light it feels. It feels like nothing on your face, just moisturizer.
The products I used for makeup:
- Benefit Brows eyebrow pencil: I use the 3.5 pencil and line my brows as close to where the hairs come out for the shape. Then I go and feel them in, going with the direction that the hair grows. The closer I get to the center of my face, the lighter I am with my hand. This is to prevent looking like a kindergartner drew caterpillars on my face with a Sharpie. After I finish, I use the brush on the other end of the pencil. First, I brush the parts of the eyebrow closer to the center of my face up. Then I brush away towards the end of the brow. This makes it smoother and blends everything out while also giving a natural look without harsh lines.
- Nars concealers: now because I’m doing a quick refreshed look I’m just using this to clean up my eyebrows. I only place it underneath the eyebrow or right above my eyelid. I don’t use much product. Once done I blend it out with my finger.
- Mario Badescu mint lip balm: You can use any lip balm or lip gloss to finish the look, but this is my favorite right now. The mint makes your mouth area feel very fresh and clean. It’s not sticky like a lip gloss and glides on smoothly. It also has a slight shine that makes your lips look like they have a healthy shine. It’s a perfect balance of shine and moisture. It’s not like you ate fried chicken with tons of grease, but you drink lots of water and have plump lips.
This completes my look. Sometimes I return with a setting spray or the Mario Badescu spray so everything comes together seamlessly. This time, I used the Mario Badescu spray. What products do you use for your quick skincare/makeup routine for the day?
