What to Do In Anaheim
If you plan on visiting Anaheim, California, or Disneyland, I have a few things you can check out. Recently, my husband had a work trip here, so I could visit a couple of places I enjoyed.
Although I have been to Disneyland many times, this was the first time I stayed within walking distance.
Where to stay in Anaheim:
We stayed at the Sheraton. It’s within walking distance to Disneyland. It had asmall gym you could work in with free weights, treadmills, bikes, and a few other machines. Continental breakfast was provided, but we never woke up to try it.
Honestly, the hotel was lovely and perfect for the family. Everything was clean; there were no pet or cigarette smells, and the interior design plus furniture decoration choices were cute.
As I mentioned, it was within walking distance of Disneyland and a dead center for most, if not all, of the food places and shopping centers you might want to visit.
Places to eat:
There are many places to eat as the location is in a prime area. There was Canes, cheesecake factory, Ihop, and many more choices.
One place we were excited to go to was Bubba Gump shrimp, as we do not have this where we are from.
First Impression – The setup was sweet with all things Forrest Gump. Seeing all the homage paid to the Forest Gump movie was exciting.
The food was pretty good as well! I got the Alabama chicken linguine, but I substituted it for shrimp, which was delicious and super creamy! We ordered some crab hush puppies for an appetizer, and it was perfect right before our meal came out.
What to do:
Disneyland, of course! If you plan on going to Disneyland, I recommend a minimum of two to three days so you feel comfortable. Also, you must wait in line unless you get fast passes. Three days is a reasonable amount of time to spend in Disneyland.
We also had the opportunity to visit House of Blues, located in a sweet outside mall with lots of shops to explore.
We visited a boba tea spot, and the tea was pretty good. If you are into boba tea and you happen to visit, make sure to check out. I forgot what it was called, but it’s in the garden walk where you can find the House of Blues.
Overall, it was a pretty cool experience, and I can’t wait until we take our son to Disneyland and he can appreciate it and go on rides!
