How To Setup A Bullet Journal
This year, take your journaling to another level by learning how to setup a bullet journal.
If you weren’t around when bullet journals first became popular in 2013, let’s address a few points.
What is a bullet journal?
A bullet journal is a system designed to keep you organized and refocused daily through different forms of trackers and logs.
When organizing your journal, you get complete creative freedom. However, this can feel daunting when you decide to write a bullet journal for the first time. So here are some tips to help set up your bullet journal.
How do you setup a bullet journal?
-
- Choose what you want to track daily. From reading books, exercising, and drinking water to monitoring your mood, sleep, and the weather, there is no limit to what you can log.
The key is to ask yourself, “What do I want to accomplish daily?” Create a list of everything you want to complete daily, weekly, or monthly.
Once you have created your list, I would choose three to five habits you want to focus on if it is your first time and you are scared of consistency or being overwhelmed.
-
- Next, choose how you want to track particular aspects of your life. The best way to do this is to utilize Pinterest to see all the various ways you can track your mood, water intake, books you read, etc. A year in pixels is one way I track my daily goals for the 2024 year.
-
- Journal!!! Once you set up your bullet journal, the rest is easy. Daily or weekly, engage with your journal and fill out your trackers. As the days turn into weeks and you complete your first month, it will be time to reset the trackers for the next month and set up the cover for the next month. Of course, you can use the same trackers but edit or add new ones.
This experience and journal are yours, and you have all the power.
You can see how you measured your goals at the end of the year. The bullet journal is a lovely way of showing consistency and engagement. It is a handmade stats card to keep you organized while providing data. Stay consistent, and I hope you grow this year!
