I love the snow!
Especially because this is Judah’s first real snow!!!!
I was worried at first that Judah would be cold and not enjoy it but the full body snowsuit was very warm and water proof. It’s crazy to think this is my son’s first time seeing snow and playing in it.
He was grinning ear to ear when I opened the front door to reveal the white wonderland just beyond our porch. Although he fell multiple times and ended up just sitting in the snow and eating it he enjoyed it.
As I watch judah stare at the snow and attempt to eat it I allow myself to take everything in. A blanket of snow is like a blank page and with each blink of my snow crusted eyelashes I see the opportunity for a new beginning.
Is this what it feels like to start anew?
Every imperfection is still there just beneath this cool powder and some of my favorite parts still stick out like long blades of grass trying to reach a hidden sun but before I can focus on what has already been covered the wind howls and throws tiny freezing bits of ice into my face, blurring my vision and Forcing me to pause then refocus.
God is beckoning us to get ready to plant new seeds.
So easy it seems that everything can be washed away that we can restart, refocus and recreate what we love the most no matter how many times that happens! I’m so excited for new beginnings for all of those who want them and/or need them.
